Umbrella Leaf is an area of effect plant in Plants vs. Zombies 3: Welcome to Zomburbia. It protects plants in a 3x3 area around it from overhead threats such as Swinging Zombies and Bowling Zombie's bowling balls.

Umbrella Leaf has a limited number of uses, indicated by how many petals it has on the flower on its head. When Umbrella Leaf's flower runs out of petals, it will be able to protect plants on more time before disappearing, requiring the player to plant another Umbrella Leaf to keep plants protected.

Origins

It is based on the plant of the same name from the original game, while the flower on its head may have been from her appearance from Plants vs. Zombies Heroes.

Strategies

Plant as much Umbrella Leaves around plants that are either expensive or weak to Bowling Zombie's bowling balls or even against the Swinging Zombies, to prevent them from eating the plants surrounding it or it lands on.

Trivia

• Only in Plants vs. Zombies 3: Welcome to Zomburbia, Umbrella Leaf has a limited amount of uses, unlike its Plants vs. Zombies counterpart.
• Umbrella Leaf has changed from a permanent plant to a temporary plant.
• Its design is closely similar to its Plants vs. Zombies Heroes design, but the flower color was changed from purple to white.
