Cactus Mistletoe (寄生仙钗; pinyin: Jìshēng Xiānchāi) is a plant in the Chinese version of Plants vs. Zombies 2 introduced in the 3.4.1 update alongside Sawblade Sundew.

Cactus Mistletoe blooms her flower when zombies appear on the lawn, exposing gynoecia which is then carried by a bird and dropped on a zombie on the lawn. Zombies with gynoecia dropped on them will be stunned momentarily while the gynoecia blooms into a flower, wherein the effected zombie becomes hypnotized and releases stunning pollen in cross (+) shaped area that effects all zombies within the area.

Cactus Mistletoe needs to cool down after blooming a flower. Zombies that cannot be hypnotized will instead only be damaged. The gynoecia also breaks any magic shields the zombie may have.

Origins

Cactus Mistletoe is based on the parasitic Tristerix aphyllus, a species of mistletoe found in Chile which parasitizes cacti. Its method of attack is based on how the real-world Tristerix aphyllus is propagated through bird dispersal.
