Gloom Pumpkin (忧郁南瓜头; pinyin: Yōu​yù Nán​guā Tóu) is a hybrid plant exclusive to the Creativity Mode in Plants vs. Zombies: Original Edition. It is a hybrid of Pumpkin and Gloom-shroom.

Gloom Pumpkin can protect plants it's planted over while also attacking zombies in a 3x3 area.

Origins

Gloom Pumpkin originates from the popular Chinese mod 植物大战僵尸杂交版 (Plants vs. Zombies: Hybrid Version), created by 潜艇伟伟迷 (SubmarineWeiWeiPVZ). In the mod's English translation, it's known as Gloom-pumpkin.

• Before the update 1.0.80, prior to being changed to a Golden plant, despite not being a Golden plant in Plants vs. Zombies: Original Edition at that time, the almanac entry would still mention it being a Golden plant.
  • This was due to the almanac being directly copy-pasted from the original mod's almanac, where Gloom Pumpkin actually is a Golden plant.
